ZONING & ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Economic Incentives

The International Logistics Park offers a strategic location with access to major transportation networks, making it an ideal site for businesses seeking efficient logistics solutions. The park is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and provides ample space for warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution.

Additionally, the park benefits from a readily available workforce, supported by competitive pay and strong community partnerships for job training. Community colleges in Brunswick County, Columbus County, and New Hanover County, along with the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, offer excellent workforce development programs tailored to industry needs. Furthermore, the region is home to several military bases that annually return a trained and qualified workforce in various disciplines, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals for businesses operating in the park.

Zoning & Development

ILP is zoned Industrial General (IG), allowing most industrial uses by right, with some uses requiring limitations or Special Use Permits (see Uses by Right tab). Permitted uses by right qualify for expedited project site plan approval, typically within 45 days.

The ILP is supported by multiple economic development organizations including Brunswick County Economic Development (BrunswickBID), North Carolina Economic Development Partnership (EDPNC), North Carolina's Southeast, and Columbus County Economic Development. These groups provide site selection assistance, business development support, and workforce recruitment services.
